Admissions and Residency

Thinking about UCF Downtown or already got in? Awesome! You definitely need to know about some key resources on your way to becoming a Knight!

At our downtown campus, the UCF Student Services Coordinators are here to help you with all things admissions. They can guide you through:

  • Understanding what you need to get in and when things are due.
  • Filling out your application and getting all your documents submitted.
  • Getting ready for your classes at orientation.

Plus, UCF Downtown Enrollment Services offers cool ways to check out the campus, connect with the community, and even schedule one-on-one meetings.

Ready to Kick Off Your Knight Journey? Here’s How!

1. Figure out what kind of student you are: Are you a first-time college student (FTIC) or transferring from another college?

2. Decide when you want to start: Which semester are you applying for?

3. Know the important dates: Make sure you understand when your application and other materials are due for your chosen semester.

4. Pick your path: Choose a UCF Downtown major or start as an undeclared major if you’re not sure yet.

5. Get your application in! Don’t put off this exciting step!

6. Come see us! Take a tour of the downtown campus.

7. Connect with us: Meet with a Student Services Coordinator to get help with enrollment and understanding financial aid options.

Are you claiming Florida residency for tuition purposes?

Once admitted, a Residency Declaration Form will appear on your Future Knight Portal checklist. Please note that this form, along with any subsequent required documentation or information requests, must be completed and submitted for review.

Florida resident classification for tuition purposes will not be granted until all necessary documents have been received and officially approved. Therefore, timely submission is encouraged. If you are under the age of 24, please be aware that parental information may be required to verify your residency status.
